Default intake question

does anyone know off the top of there head what is the tallest intake manifold you can find under the stock hood of a 85 K5 blazer with a 350 and stock air cleaner

Friends got an Edelbrock performer and a tall air filter on it. Its about 5 inches higher than stock and hood closes but you can see the mark where it hits on the cleaner lid. So I would say that 4 inches you are safe and wont hit anything.

I agree. Probably around 4-4.5 inches

Get a body lift and you'll have TONS of room!

Thanks guys i appreciate it. today i'm going to do my first intake and performance carb upgrade thanks for the info. i'll have to get some pics up on the website soon.

well i just installed a edelbrock performer eps intake, edelbrock 600cfm performer series carb, and almost done installing flowtech full length headers. just got to get the pesky driver side exhaust manifold off!!. i'll post some pics once i'll all done.
