Default K&n filter

I was wondering if it would be worth while to buy a k&n filter to put in my stock air box. Does anyone know if this will help with any h.p. Gains or gas mileage gains? I'm not buying a whole kit so don't even mention it. Thanks, Brandon

i got the Spectre drop in and I didn't notice any real power gain... but I did see a 2 MPG increase...

Spectre is basically like a cheaper version of K&N

That's exactly why I got a drop in filter.

My feeling is that the benefits are in an inverse ratio to the amount spent on an air filter.

LIKE!....

If I am not mistaken, the filters do let in a ton more than stock, and I think it was mentioned that you can get a cold air intake which gives you even greater benefits, and then when you wheel they make a cover for it (not sure), that is basically a bag filter to cut down on the debris that will continue in

i got a spectre in mine as well, and noticed about a 2-3mpg increase, but i also noticed that i dont need to give it quite as much throttle to get up to speed under load, like when hauling a trailor.
