An exhaust cutout after the cat is legal if there are no local noise ordinances that you would violate during operation.

Yeah their are noise ordances here where I live, that I would fail with the cutout in use.

Well the catalytic converter is back on, along with theO2 sensor. It wasn't really running that bad without it. But I was having other problems that I couldn't diagnose because it would only show the O2 sensor code. The onlyproblem I really had was that my oil pressure was steadily climbing to the max. And of course it started smoking a little and running really rich. Which could have had something to do with the oil temp rising. So now it has a free/high flow catalytic converter on it with a flowmaster and doesn't sound too much quieter with the cat on. But damn that thing sounded good with it off.
