found one to fit my blazer for 20 bucks..been looking around at em and noticed some "gains" stated online from other people..Anyone here have one? May be better then spending $50 for a k&n

Well you're not going to notice a big difference with a drop in filter. Only way to tell if you achieved any actual gains is by putting the truck on a dyno and do a run with the factory filter versus the aftermarket filter.

Every filter manufacturer has the claims of increased hp/mpg and they have many testimonials from "users" to back them up. As stated above, only the dyno will prove hp and actual use will prove mpg.
The way I see it, K&N was the first (to my knowledge) to come out and the others are just trying to do the same. Pretty much, they are all the same but I believe K&N has the best warranty hands down.

I have spectre cone filter (w/ inverted cone tip). And it is 100% better then the crappy ebay filter i had. I was also under the impression that the spectrs use the same material as the k&n's but at half the cost. I have no complaints about my filter and i have it on 3.5in tube.
