Default spectre filter?

found one to fit my blazer for 20 bucks..been looking around at em and noticed some "gains" stated online from other people..Anyone here have one? May be better then spending $50 for a k&n

Well you're not going to notice a big difference with a drop in filter. Only way to tell if you achieved any actual gains is by putting the truck on a dyno and do a run with the factory filter versus the aftermarket filter.

Every filter manufacturer has the claims of increased hp/mpg and they have many testimonials from "users" to back them up. As stated above, only the dyno will prove hp and actual use will prove mpg.

The way I see it, K&N was the first (to my knowledge) to come out and the others are just trying to do the same. Pretty much, they are all the same but I believe K&N has the best warranty hands down.

I have spectre cone filter (w/ inverted cone tip). And it is 100% better then the crappy ebay filter i had. I was also under the impression that the spectrs use the same material as the k&n's but at half the cost. I have no complaints about my filter and i have it on 3.5in tube.
