Default Thinking about an intake...

Wondering about the AEM intake, however, it lists it as 03 - 04... I'm assuming the '05 is going to be the same, but I wanted to make sure... I'm looking at the AEM over the K&N because of the Dryflow air filters, which don't have the oil fouling the MAF sensor issue that some people seem to have...

Thoughts? Opinions?

No problems with my Airaid. Uses K&N style filter. Did not notice a difference in throttle response until I got a bigger exhaust.

I have a K&N drop in filter and I've never had problems, sop up extra oil with a rag or shop vac.

but intakes (especially k&n) are way overpriced, for what you get from an intake for the $$$, i'd pick some other mod 1st, but thats just me [:-]

*edit* just thought i'd mention my truck came with the k&n when i bought it used.

Yeah, I'm kinda worried about that too, lol. Heck, even the Haynes manuals I see stop at 2004... Maybe everyone just figured GM stopped making them in '04? lol

I have theFram intake system. It's cheaper than the AEM system and it comes with tools and a filter cleaner kit. Even tho AEM is making the intake for Fram.
