Do you think it's possible to cut your hole and run the piping through the inner fender well (just above the front tire), so you could remove it when you want to and simply make some kind of cap to plug the hole? This way there would be no holes in the hood or fender and would use the stock air box when not needing a snorkel. Just a silly idea. Many variables involved: tire clearance, suspension travel, routing preference, looks, etc. Keep us posted; my curiosity is peaked now.

 

I was thinking about something that I could take out when I'm just driving around. I always wondered about snorkels when it rains doesn't the water get sucked in but this is a project I'm pushing back for now...
