Default Throttle Body Spacer

A friend of mine brought up the discussion of throttle body spacers, and how they help w/ HP, Toruqe and MPG. Personally i'm not too worried about power, but more in the fuel economy line.
So my question is, is it worth spending $50 on a throttle body spacer? Would see a significant amount of fuel econemy increase?
BTW this is on a 98 Blazer.

Thanks!

i dont have any personal experience with them but from everything i have heard about them, on these trucks they dont help out too much on anything. a larger throttle body help some but thats a little under $200

From what I have read, they are not efficient on these trucks. I figure Swartlkk will chime in any minute now lol. He always suggests not going with them and has the information to back up that choice.

If I remember correctly it has something to do with the throttle body actually raising the rpm that the tq kicks in at or something like that. I personally have heard nothing good about them with these trucks. I would suggest a cai, headers and exhaust for better hp, tq, and mileage. But that will be a lot more expensive than $50 lol.
