Default 1992 S10 4door 4x4 Lift

I thought I would post some before and after pictures. I don't have a good before picture. I ordered a Rough Country 2" suspension lift from JC Whitney, but they sent me a 2 wheel drive kit. I sent that kit back. Back in the winter I added the Rough Country add a leafs to help with the sagging rear. That made some difference but not enough.

I replaced all four shocks with rough country shocks, and all four of the factory shocks were busted. I replaced the upper and lower ball joints and that was a royal pain in the you know what! It still had the factory ball joints with the rivets. The right side I cut off the rivets with a torch and they came out with a lot of hammering. The left side I had to cut the rivets out with a torch and then cut the stud out so it could come loose.

I added 2" shackles on the back, and put an 1.5" on the torsion bars.

Next I'm going to put some bigger tires on!

I live in a small town and do not drive very far. I took it on a road trip last week and the front end seems to bounce as I was going across a bridge. I replaced all four shocks with Rough Country RC9000 shocks. All four shocks were original and all four were collapsed. It had some bounce before, but it seems to be worse now. What else do I need to change out? I replaced all the upper and lower ball joints as well.

Cranking the tbars would make the front end stiffer meaning you would feel more bounce and more bumps then stock.

Nothing that you cant change to fix it... Unless you go stock again

I have a 1992 s10 4x4 with 1" of lift cranked into the front torsion bars. I have 2" shackles on the back with rough country helper springs. I also replaced the 4 collapsed shocks with rough country shocks. A week ago I was hunting and as I was checking out of the wildlife refuge the left front upper ball joint came out of the spindle mount. I replace the upper and lower ball joints when I did the lift.

The upper ball joint pulled the nut off, broke the cotter pin, and came out. I was creeping along because I was stopping. I got a new upper ball joint and put it all back together. Not understanding what happened I leaned out of the window as I was going across some bumps. The tire is moving up and out of the wheel well. I thought it was suppose to move up and to the inside of the wheel well?

Both front tires had positive camber so I adjusted on the eccentric bolts on the control arms. I am now at -1 (slightly leaning in to the wheel well). This helped some with the wheel travel, but the wheels are still moving up and out.

I'm not sure what I need to do? Is this normal?
