Default 4 in. or 6 in. Rough Country lift?

I am buying a 1979 k5 Blazer in a couple weeks and I was Wondering if I should just go with a 4 in or the 6 in. And for tires I wanted the general grabbers red lettering or the goodyear kevlars. I was hoping to fit 35s but i dont know if they will clear. Help me out please! And also I was wondering if anyone has trimmed the fenders to clear bigger tires?
