litterbug will become famous soon enough

i really dont want to have to get new bushings but i guess i will. if i slide the metal sleeve out from the rubber is it possible to get it back in? cause i think i can do this if i cut the shackle.

so its heat the bushing really hot untill it melts or allows me to pull it out? how long should that take?
