Front End/Lift Question
Okay, so my body lift has been on for a month or so and now I want to convert my front end from a 96 to a 98+. How will my body lift affect whether or not I can still convert my front end? I'm asking because the pa body lift I have on there now for my 96 is different than the ones on the 98+. My main concerns are the front bumper brackets for the body lift. How will these work with a 98+ front end? Also, the radiator was lowered for proper cooling when the body lift was put on. How will this affect a 98+ new radiator support? Thanks!
I didnt have the body lift on when i had 96 grille. i did the grille swap at the same time. i ordered the 95-97 pa body lift. All the plastic mounts and the 4 metal bumper blocks stayed the same with 96 metal bumper w/ plastic lower valance, which looks like you have too, with 98+ grille and core support. When i switched to the 98+ bravada bumper cover, i had to modify the metal bumper lift blocks.
So in theory if you keep your bumper, you should be fine. If you add the bumper cover, you might have to modify bumper blocks.

Ill have to measure to double check how thick they are now. even though id recommend you figure out exactly how much will work for you. I cut the center out of the height, however much i shortened em and welded the pieces back together. you will need new bolts when u do this, youll run out of threads. If you would have asked for pictures 1 day earlier, my front end was still torn down. I put my mad graphic design skills to work for you though...lol

I used bravada bumper with blazer grille, dont know if that had anything to do with it or not. It might be just swap and go.
If you can order the plastic mounts individual, maybe check ebay. the difference that ive noticed with the 98+ bumper lift is they are a lot smaller diameter blocks then the body mounts. either one i think will work for the bumper. not sure why they give us metal street sign pole cuttoffs...lol. Might be easier to get the plastic mount and cut it down.
Ive been learning to weld, probably more the reason i went the route i did...lol
