Default Help with lifting my blazer...ima noob

I got a 96 Blazer a year ago and recently decided to lift it. Probably a rough country lift. Would I be able to do this myself? Or would I need to go to a shop?
I like to go to the shop as little as possible. I reinstalled the turn signal board and windshield motor and brake pads and rotors on my own. Just wondering if I would need a special tool to lift my entire car at once.
Any help is appreciated!

if your talking about the 2" lift you can do it your self with out even ordering the kit, read up on the lift kit sticky and about the t bar crank, you can do about 1.5" in the front with out to much worry of extra wear on your front end, and do 2" shackles in the rear. i'm not familiar with rather or not the new control arms would make a difference though, i would like to see someone with more knowledge give there thoughts on those.

a body lift would be a good way to go though, the body lift and tbar crank would be a nice lift for less than 200 bucks if you do the install youself; from my understanding if you have some jack stands, the right tools and a free week end it doesn't seem to difficult.

yeah, dont waste the money on the kit. Buy a good set of shackles or an add-a-leaf for 60 bucks and crank the tbars. Both are easy to do and can be done with some basic hand tools and a day or so of work.
