Air shocks, or any shocks for that matter, are not meant to be used to lift a vehicle. They are there to help absorb bumps and dips to keep a vehicle from continous bouncing.

well, from what i've seen they do lift a vehicle. i already know they will, dont even know why i asked. i just saw some bilstein coilovers that say they have 2'' of hight adj.

people i know have added about 3'' to rear with adj. shocks. so, why not?

They won't last... Shocks are not meant to be the suspension... their purpose is to control it.

You can do it, but the ride quality isn't going to be so great from what I've read. I know someone on here has done it and has had good luck. But when I went to purchase the same shocks for mine, my dad and his friend (both into cars back in the day) both told me baout how they used air shocks to raise the back ends of their 75 Nova and 69 Torino (respectively) 2-3" for a muscle car look. Said it looked phenominal, but that a speed bump made them cringe. Being that I have to haul fragile plastic displays sometimes for my job, I decided against them.

Welcome and I also think that would not be the best idea.

Welcome to the forum, and I would as well suggest against it. Might seem like an easy fix, but would suffer both ride quality and stability. Something needed for all kinds of driving conditions. And I might add very dangerous if you do plan on going offroad alot, or live in an area that see's alot of snow. If you want to lift your vehicle, either look into a body lift or save up for a quality suspension lift.

Just do a 2" body lift and be done with it...
