lift help for a noob =/
Hello there! Ive had my 99 4dr 4wd blazer for three years now, and I want to lift it.
I would like to run a 2-3in lift all around with 31in a/t tires.
Any recomendations on going about doing this?
My plan is to get new torsion keys for the front, 2in shackles and add a leafs in the rear.
good or bad?
Thanks.

yes I have.
I've been reading on and off on these forums for a year and really have HardxCore researching this past week. I just would like to hear some opinions from experienced "lifters" before I do this.

I believe a non ZR2 blazer needs 2" lift to clear 31's, however you can put them on with the truck stock but they WILL rub when you turn...
Cheapest way to get the lift you need is a body lift, they sell for a few hundred bucks and you can most likely install yourself with a buddy for extra hands!

This is something that has been answered many times in the threads below. You can do a 2" body lift and fit 31's. The body lift isn't hard to install and with a few friends you can have it done within a few hours. As for shackles and a t-bar lift, multiple members have gone down this route. Just remember that the maximum lift you are going to get from your stock t-bars is 1.5", anything higher than that that will result in wear and tear on your front end components like ball joints, cv axles, pitman arm, idler arm and ect. If you plan on getting new t-bars, I suggest finding a set of ZR2 t-bars. PM Orangesonoma, he has ZR2 t-bars on his blazer.
