Default Lifting a 2WD

I've been debating throwing a lift kit on my slammed S10 because the last 3 4WD vehicles I have bought have not been reliable but my S10 has, and the roads are rough. I'd like to not beat it if it's going to treat me right.

Will I run into issues with suspension parts? Like extra wear on ball points, driftshafts, etc?

I was thinking coil spacers and shackles, but I'd like some input.

I'm on a serious budget here.
