Need Help and Advice on Shackle lift and more
#11
2" shackle adding stress? maybe im misreading this but a 2" shackle does nothing more than raise the body of the rear 2", possibly new shocks, gas filler tube addition, not so sure about the filler tube, have to look
"also in the front you won't be able to compensate for that inch. the t-bars can only go so far before you wear like crazy" <--- agreed, some say they've had 2" t bar cranks & no issues, personally i wouldn't want to go that far & just for that reason
as for the nose dive - i've seen many blazers that seem to be squating/rear lower than front, mine included
yeah 3" in the rear & only 1.5" in the front would be a bit much unless you have tired springs up front or in the rear

alot of ppl do say dont go past 1.5" without wear. ive put 32k on my blazer with my TB cranked no issues however i may just be a lucky one. since i had sagging leafs in rear i went with little longer then standard lenght shackles to help compensate. I currently run a true 32" tire on 2"bl shackles and tb crank

So i went out to measure the distance from the top of the rim to the bottom of the fender and figured out that the front is sitting at 13.5" and the back at 12", so i think the 3" shackles would be best because they would bring both to 15" with a 1.5" TBar crank, what do you all think?

Is there a torque spec on the shackle bolts
