From what I've seen the 2nd gens use blocks to raise the bumpers. A first gen kit doesn't have the extra blocks for this. It can be done without air tools, they just speed things up. Not sure how flipping would work on a 2nd gen. I know on a first gen you can do it with the 2 inch lift.
