do you know if zr2 rims with 31s would rub even if i did the t-bar crank and the shackles? i got a regular blazer and was thinking of swapping my rims out for zr2 rims.

there is no difference. zr2's wheels stick out further than stock blazers because the frames are different

I got the same idea actually! Brilliant work man!
Can I ask what are the measures on your "shackles"? How far is between this holes? Do you have any clue how much lift that differers between the holes?

First of all, if you don't have a ZR2, I would use ZR2 shackles to lift the rear (ebay $40-$60), they are 10 times stronger and more durable than those skinny pieces of metal you would get at any local auto parts store (O'reilly, Advance, etc...). I just couldn't bring myself to use them. Especially if you plan on doing any off-roading. Stock ZR2 shackles are 4in from hole. But I got my shackles off Synergyoffroad.com. They 6 and 3/4" from hole to hole. $60 plus shipping. I love them!
Also when I replaced mine I didn't have to remove the bushing. I whaled and torched on mine for 4 hours. The bolts came out and I swaped the shackles out.

i know that i am late to the party here but...i have to agree with the fact that those shackles are pretty thin. given that i used them my self, however i doubled up on each side and then bought some grade 8 hardware to cover the extra width (the bolts that came with, would not fit a doubled set).
with all this though i dont plan on doing any serious off roading
(daily driver) other than some occasional trudging through farm fields and a little trip through some woods i know of around here.
the short of it is for that price put two pairs on, what could it hurt.
if you dont want to spring for it then use your autozone points to cover the kit..its only 18.00 a set around here.
a side note: i have 31's no rubbing at all...only t-bar and the shackles.
my two cents.

pathfinders at
90 percent pavement driving.
but no rubbing and i have not had to trim anything fender or other wise.
stock wheels as well.
but all is well.
i have alot of pics in my album that might help you more then this.
