Default rubbing opinions

Hi,
My new wheel/tire combo rubs when the suspension is compressed on a turn. I'm running LT255 x 70 x 16" (255 is about 30") on 2wd rims. The front stick out a little as expected. I have a 2" body lift scheduled for this coming week. The guy at the shop told me it would help over the phone but I'm sure they want the business regardless. Do you guys think the 2" body lift will help reduce or eliminate the rubbing?

Are you rubbing the inner fenders or against the frame/swaybars?

Actually it's hard for me to tell. I tried cranking the wheel all the way and pushing down on the front of the truck. All I can see is the bottom edge of the fender is pretty close....but still it's kind of guess work. I wouldn't think it would hit the inside given the wheels are further out than stock

you should be able to see a spot where they are rubbing the dirt off of the inner fender or the frame. I just put 31's on my 93 and they rub on the rear of the front drivers side inner fender and on the frame on the drivers side. There is a nice shiny spot where it has been rubbing.

When you do your body lift it should eliminate your rubbing problem. The problem you are having is that you are at stock height with rims that stick out farther than stock so when you turn the wheel they rub on your fenders. With a small suspension lift will take car of that problem. My boy had the same problem with his 2dr blazer and after the 2" body lift the rubbing was gone.

My friend was haveing the same problem with his 2 dr. All we did was a t bar crank in the front about 1 inch and he had no rubbing. So the body lift will definately take care of it.

That's good to hear b/c I'm not going to mess with the t-bar. I'd go back to smaller tires before I'd do that.
