Default Safe Lifting?

Is there a safe way to get a 2-3 inch lift without causing premature ware to any components? I'm looking for all options, suspension or body lift wise.

Thanks

You can get either a 2" body lift or 3" body lift.

doesn't that put premature ware on CV and balljoints? at least that is what I've been understanding when reading about the lifting.

Body lifts have nothing to do with the suspension.

gotcha, I read to much of everything I think got me totally confused So basically you just lift the body higher then the frame is that correct? How does this affect if you have a brushguard mounted or the trailer hitch setup?

Check out my thread on my BL install...I've got a pic of the hitch explaining the issues.

Basically if you have a class 3 hitch, it won't work with the kit bumper brackets, but a class 2 will. Class 2 hitches only attach with 2 bolts on each side, class 3 uses 4 bolts. I'm still working out the best solution to get my class 3 hitch back on..

As for the brush guard, it depends how the guard mounts. My Hunter brush guard attaches to the bumper brackets, so it was just a matter of using a washer or two to space all the brackets (3 of them) properly. No problem at all

I think I'm gonna wait till someone figures out the hitch issue in that case as I have a class 3 hitch, and don't wanne loos it cause of my go rihno step I have in the back But sounds good that it isn't all that hard and especially doesn't break anything.

Ive unfortunately let the hitch issue fall out of mind for the time being...had other repairs to do on the blazer. I'm planning on taking it to a welding shop and just getting the kit bracket cut and welded onto the hitch. Then I maintain the integrity of the hitch, and support the bumper!
