I'm thinking about doing a sas on my 91 but everytime I see a build it's jacked way up and I don't need something like that. All I've had were trucks with 3 in susp and body lifts and that always got by I assume if I don't use as many leaf springs the height will be lower. Please correct me if I'm wrong thanks

 

There are allot of variables that go into keeping a SAS low and more info of what you hope to accomplish is needed. Tire size plays a role in height as well as springs. Part of what you have to take into consideration is clearance for the front diff. To low and you will be hitting your oil pan or cross member. What are your intended uses for the truck. Check out km346's build for a perfect factory looking SAS. I know it's a second gen but it will give you a good idea of what it takes to keep it low.

 

Okay thanks. The intentions with it are off road it as much as my zr2 which was like 2 times a month. The three places I go aren't tough but the one spot is cursed I've always snapped a cv axle or both there. Tire size I was trying to stay 33 or less.

I bet you could keep it fairly low, and have plenty of room for 33"s, you just gotta get out the sawzall and grinder and make some clearance in those fenders!

 

i think i have a total of 9 inches of lift and my 33s will barely rub under flexing.

i tried to keep my truck as low and wide as i could



i used 6 inch k5 blazer lift springs up front with a few leafs removed

axle flip and a 3 inch block in the back
