t bar install?
how much of a pain is it to install new t bars?

a big one, i dont think they can be done without a special tool that holds them in place so you can unthread the nuts, but i havent done one just my 2cents

Its actually very easy. it took me about 30 minutes to change both.
*put the blazer on jack stands up front, wheels off the ground.
*put a two jaw puller on the t-bar cross member & take the tension off the adjusting bolt.
*unscrew the bolt all the way out. grab & pull the plate out WITH PLIERS, cant stress that enough. if your finger is in there & the puller slips.. kiss your finger good bye. my puller slipped more than once while changing the bars.
*then slowly unscrew the puller until all the tension is off.
*beat the torsion bar forward into the lower control arm
*get hit in the head when the torsion key falls out
*I lowered the t-bar cross member then just pulled them straight out the back of the vehicle.
*be sure to grease your t-bar ends up when you put the new bars in. & make sure everything is snug up around the key area before putting tension back on the key with the puller.
your biggest problem is going to be rust if your doing it to an 87.

no problem. you might want to try soaking the key area and control arm area with pb blaster a couple times a day for a week.
