The body lift comes with instructions, so if you have the tools and couple buddies, it can be done in a few hours.

The shackles is just a matter of jacking your truck up and unbolting a couple bolts. But beware those bolts can be a PITA.

body lift and shackles arent too bad to do. You will be able to run 31s. If you do go with a 6in it will cost roughly 2500. plus wheels and tires. Then you would be able to fit 33s. So like nj4x4blaze said it will be 4-5k. Gears are not a must but I would recommend them if you plan on taking it offroad or do any highway driving. Unless you like doing 60 on the highway and getting 10mpg lol. With all that I know for a fact it will be a head turner.

ROFL and a finger lifter....

take a look at this thread clicky turns out that if you want to turn heads, all you have to be is "concievably a woman" from a distance. Dress in tighter clothes, lighter colors, and stuff your top. for christ's sake, shave...

Honestly, if you want to make your truck a head turner, you may want to consider LOWERING it. I believe it is less $ intensive (unless you want to drop 7"), draws more attention (since TRUCKS get lifted and little 2 gens are hardly every boy's dream truck)

Lastly, of all the stupid S**T you see slammed to the ground, the S-10 and 2 gen Blazers look the second least stupid (with the late 60's blazers looking BY FAR the best)

i know it doesnt look like it, but I am being serious. Consider lowering your ride. It's not for me, but i am not limited to $1500 and shooting for the stars. (I am much more limited and slightly more grounded)

*shrug* take a peek at this looks good right? NOT CHEAP!!!! but more attainable than a monster truck in terms of head turning on a budget *lowering i mean*
