01 LS instrument panel help
hey guys I'm going to get my new to me blazer tomorrow from my brother in law. Well he was goin to install a kenwood radio and when he got it al in the instrument panel lights won't light up, so he took the radio back out and put the stock one back in it and still no lights. Any suggestions? I'm hoping it's just the fuse blew or something easy. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
he probably crossed the 'illumination' or 'dimmer' wire and blew a fuse is my guess.. did you check the fuses in the dash as well as under the hood?
or did he turn the dimmer **** down all the way when removing the dash cover? beside the headlight switch there is a turn dial, turn it up all the way and see if they come on(when you feel the 'click' that means they should stay on, you want to keep it just before it 'clicks'
also make sure he plugged it back in!!
