93 blazer doors lock by themselves?
Hi all! New here and am going nuts trying to figure out why my doors started locking by themselves when i turn off engine and leave key in ignition and shut door? New battery, awhile back. And still tests as new? I have to make sure window is down anytime i get out and turn eng off. I live in the middle of nowhere and no one takes their keys out of the cars. Any farm around has keys in every vehicle. My kids been locked out several times and its getting to be a problem. I have talked to others and checked online and the passlock system will not cause the doors to lock, just keep car from starting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much and hope this is a good place to get info!
Anyone have schematics for the 93 power lock system?
Without a schematic, I would start going around to the various lock switches and make sure that they are in their neutral position. Try pulling the switches and disconnecting them to see if the problem persists. If it goes away, then plug each one in individually and see if it comes back.
Given the age, it is possible that one of the switches has an internal issue.
