93 Blazer S10 Hid Question
Have been wanting to change my 93 Blazers S10 Tahoe LT headlights to HID. Not really sure of what I need to do to get started. Seen a lot of people just sticking Hid's in and the light is to scattered and then other people doing the conversion. Thanks for the help.
I am not sure how close the lights are from 93 to 99 but mine is a 99 I put HIDs in mine High and low beams (the ones with the ballast). The only thing I had to do is connect the ground wire coming out of the low beam bulb to the frame. Because it takes them a sec to warm up and when you turn high beams on the lows shut off and you don't have lights for a sec. When you connect the ground wire coming out of the low beam bulb to the frame the lows stay on when switching back and fortieth to high. Hope this helps you
Oh ya I got the Ice Berg Blue ones looks sweet.
Almost forgot you only have ground one side I did the drivers side one.

If you want to do it the right way, you would need to get clear housings, and projectors from theretrofitsource.com
I personally did not go that route, I got my hid kit from xenondepot.com and got some of these 200mm H6054 H4 Euro Conversion Headlights Kit | eBay
our trucks (first gens) use one ballast and one bulb per side for the highs and lows (if you get a high and low kit) you can just get a low kit as they sell them
But the way the high and low kit works, the bulb has a shroud under it and at the end of it to put light only to the top of the housing when low beams are on. When you activate the highs, it pulls the bulb back to a slit that is cut in the shroud under the bulb to illuminate the whole housing.

Yup, If you want a cheap kit, Check out DDM Tuning: HID and LED Lighting
Life time warranty.. Have heard good and bad from them.
Dont go ebay for hid's you will have more problems, color temp will be off.
If you want a good kit XENONDEPOT - HID & LED Lighting Products or The Retrofit Source Inc
You get what you pay for
