Default 93 s10 blazer 4 door rear wiper not working even after fixing wire.

So last year when I got my 93 s10 blazer. I have a few electrical issues. I decided today to check the rear wiper wiring. I know last year I tried a different motor I got from a junk yard. I was stupid and got the motor before checking the voltage to the wiring. I had no voltage from what I remember. I did remember checking the switch up front and had voltage. So I found a break in the line at the back of the glass window. In fact 2 wires was touching together. So I fixed that and have the following on the volt meter. 1 on all the time when in acc or truck started. One that is on when the switch it turned and the third is the ground so that is all good. Is it possible I got 2 bad motors? I'm thinking of using my small amp 12 volt battery charger and testing the motors. Any other ideas? Is there a relay to check?

Thanks,

Josh

I know on mine (2nd series so it might not apply) the reason it wasn't working was because the gears in the motor were worn smooth, something to check.

Default So I tested one of the motors

So I tested one of the motors with my 12 volt battery charger. I got nothing. The motor says 12 volts. So I tried every what way. I even did the 2 directly to the motor. Nothing. Nothing at all. So I assume I have 2 bad motors. But before I order one. Would be nice to know 100% for sure it is bad rear wiper motors.

Thanks,

Josh

Does it make a clicking noise when you try to turn it on? Cause mine doesn't work but that's because of the two 15's I got in the back lol. I'd have to guess that you did get two bad motors, you could also check the relay for continuity and go from there

Default I have not got back to it yet

I have not got back to it yet. I was going to double check both motors and make sure I didn't miss anything. So when I have more info. I will post. The last thing I did was look for a eletrical diagram. I found one at autozone but it didn't inlcude the rear wiper. But as I said. I got switched power, power on all the time, and ground now that I fixed the wire. So could be the relay. But the front wipers work fine.

Thanks,

Josh

There is no relay on a '93 rear wiper motor. Make sure you have 12v at the wiring harness j-connector to the motor when the switch up front is 'on'. Use your voltmeter and set it on 'diode' to check the 'motor' wiring. With power off use center tab and far left tab of motor with the voltmeter. Check both ways. If you have continuity one way and not the other, its good. If it show 'none' both ways the diode inside the motor is shot. You have to ground the motor if you tested it 'off' the car. The middle tab is 'ground'.....hope this helps....

where does the wiring run through the body of the blazer
I have a 1995 s10 blazer and replaced the wiper motor witha known good one...( tested it prior to swapping it) and I have NOTHING at wiper motor after install.I found one "power " wire with test light....I am seeking where the wiring runs so i can check it from back gate area forward...??/
