Well.....just got done replacing the ignition switch. She still does not start. Turns over with no indication of wanting to start. Seems to have some spurts or a like pause while turing over. Any other possibilities? Thanks.

Did you test the output from the old ignition switch before condemning it?

Have you verified that you are getting spark and/or fuel?

Did not know I should have done { test the output } that. Getting spark. Not sure if I'm getting fuel though. Put a little fuel down the throat..still nothing. Fuel pump replaced 3 yrs. ago. Can hear it working.

You can check the timing to make sure that the spark is occurring at the proper time. You may have to make your own mark to indicate TDC#1 to do it though as there are two marks on the balancer, neither of which line up 100% on TDC#1.

You can also test fuel pressure to ensure that it is >55psi.

As far as testing the ignition switch, it is relatively easy to do with a multimeter (or test light as an initial rudimentary check) and a wiring diagram. The main connector under the steering column holds all of the pertinent wires.

Well it looks like it turned out to be a bad cap & rotor. She started right up! Replaced it with a Ac Delco. Word of advice, stay away from knock offs and no name caps and rotors. Ignition switch needed to be replaced anyways based on it's history with these blazers. Thanks for all the help and time spent in trouble shooting my specific problem.
