I got bored and wanted a way to charge my drills and have a fan for my son rear facing seat. I set a budget of 40 dollars. I used some fire alarm batteries from work, wire and items I've collected over the years. I got the inverter from a yard sale brand new for $15.


Ran from auxiliary fuse panel in center console. Its 2 12 awg ran in series

Two 12 ah agm fire alarm batts

Added some distribution bars for power and grounds

400w everstart inverter

Working well..might go to a bigger 6 awg cable. Has a slight 0.2 voltage drop
