If the hazard button is not reparable, then you'll likely need to replace the whole multi-function switch assembly. You can order them from most parts websites, or you could probably get a used one from a u-Pull type place. It's possible to do the job with common hand tools, and the procedure depends on what year and model vehicle you have.

Broadly you'll need to:
  1. Remove the lower dash panel to access the connector plug for the multi-function switch. I believe it's connected with an 8mm retaining bolt.
  2. Remove the steering column cover. There will be 2-3 torx bolts (I think T25?) holding it together, then several clips to separate it. You'll also need to unclip the key cover over the ignition assembly to remove the steering column cover.
  3. Unbolt the multi-function switch. If I remember correctly it has 2 6mm bolts attaching it.
You can identify the connector plug you need to detach by following the wires from the switch on the steering column. There will be 2 separate flat plugs, attached together one on each side of a harness. If you look up the switch on a parts supply website you'll see what they look like. I believe one plug is blue, and the other is white.

Hope this helps.
