Red face fuel gauge

dear all and i hope every thing is good

I have a problem with my blazer 1999 4*4 LS

problem is with fuel gauge Does not work correctly

when the car running away fuel gauge working correctly and every thing is ok but when i put transmission on N , P , the gauge go up and down and it is going to full then go down
please help me i love this car it is my baby

I'm not sure if you have found this thread through your searching, but have a look at this:
98+ Fuel Gauge Diagnosis

I can't remember exactly, but I believe that other members have found a problem with a ground splice pack back near the tank that has affected the fuel level sending unit operation amongst other performance issues.

My '97s only major quirk is the erratic fuel gauge. It's not broken, just squirrely. I easily live without it, using the trip odometer to keep track of fuel.
