Default HID install questions - 97 blazer

Hey all! Okay, I'm looking to get a pair of sealed beam conversion housings and but H4 6000K HID lights in it. The housings have that blue "city light" in it. My main question is: is there a way of hooking that light up to the DRL? Otherwise, wouldn't the DRL turn on the HIDs as soon as the vehicle ignition is on and parking brake is off?

On my '96 I cut the wire between the DRL relay and LH headlight -(dk blue) and connected the relay side of the wire to the + of my halo(new DRL) and grounded the headlight side of the wire so the headlights would still work normally. I don't think(didn't try) the HID ballasts would like the lower voltage that the DRL circuit would put to them(puts headlight bulbs in series)
