Thanks Kyle. I suspected a while back that this was where it was. Just from the comments became unsure & thought I'd missed something - began to think my truck was special So, if that's the unit, & I cut the pin - that slows the rate of flashing? or shut it off completely?

It will slow it down to be close to stock while running LED's.

Another how-to here:

That's great! Thanks guys. Much appreciated. I'll do that when I get home tomorrow. Meanwhile, I'm off to bed now.

Hope to wake up in the morning to hear your stock markets have survived.

Right - Here's my hazard switch - Doesn't look like the one you show Kyle, or the one from the s10 forum shown by you RangerG.

Mine has 9 pins & I'm battling to get the damn thing open without breaking it. I'll see if I can talk Bunce into parting with one for "research" purposes. LOL I recall they had sold one a long while ago for around 100 bucks

The nine pins are what's confusing me. Obviously, half would be for the hazards & the others for the blinkers.

Oh yes & before you point out that blue bit to press in pull the inards out - I've tried but it won't budge.

Not the hazard switch, but the hazard/turn flasher.

Right! The Chevy guy's say this is all integrated in one unit. They have sold all the ones stripped from used & wrecked vehicles. None in stock & they've not opened one.

Went to the local electic parts store & bought some 5w 39ohm resistors & will wire them across the LED's. (they spec'ed this)

Just waiting for weather to clear then I'll get stuck in & finish this job off.
