License plate light options?

License plate light options?
Here's the issue. I have a 96 Blazer with messed up electricals as is due to poor jury rigging from previous owners. The license plate lights aren't working since one assembly is missing and the other one has a bad bulb I think. I'm trying to find some sort of led light or something similar that can stick to a surface and illuminate the plate thus preventing the local smokies from pulling me over at night.

Would it be possible to take an after market light and wrap the wire from that around the fastener to make it work? If I wind up going OEM with the license plate light I will be forced to remove the entire bumper. Previous owner put a steel ford bumper on as a replacement. Ugh...

Okay I was thinking it was the stock bumper. Too be street legal you just would need to get a aftermarket light. I would run the positive/Negative by pulling a tail light an tapping into its wires. Make sure it's the running light wires not the turn/stop ones. Or buy a license plate frame that had lights built in.
