Default light bar placement questions

Hello,
I'm finally going to put a light bar on my blazer. I have 2 spots that I'm thinking about putting them. The first is on the roof. I'm not to sure about this because I've been told about the light shining on the hood and making it super hard to see. Does anyone have any experience with roof mounted lights? The second place is on my bumper in front of my grill. I ran this idea past my dad and he said that might mess with the air flow to the radiator and i don't really want to mess with over heating problems. What are your thoughts on where to mount it and problems you ran into if you ran into any.
Thank you for your input!!

I would suggest the bumper. You will probably have the glare issue with mounting it on the roof. Unless you mount it further back, or use a light deflector. I think the amount of grill air blockage will be minimal. I currently have these 2 32" bars mounted in a push bar configuration. These are 30/60 degree leds and flood quite well. If they were on the roof it would be hell. I also have a 42" to put on the roof next. It's a 10/40 degree bar, and I've only test placed it. It did light up the hood a bit, but because it doesn't have a lot of flood lighting it should be tolerable. Plus wiring will be a lot simpler with it on the front.

What brand is your light bar? Do you have any pictures of it at night?
Thanks

I've seen couple of guys put led bars on the roof and a small metal sheet under the bar to block light shining on the hood. I would personally prefer one on the upper side of the bumper.

I think that happens when its pointing to much down. Mine is angled for long range. I can light up a football field with mine, and no glare on the hood
