Default turning off the accessories outlet

Is there a way to turn off the accessories outlets on a 98 Blazer, when you turn off the ignition ? I hooked up a xm radio it gets power from the acc outlet if I forget to unplug it will drain my battery.

You could wire a switch in-line with the outlet, but you'd need to be careful with how many amps you are running through it.

Personally I'd just wire in a new acc powered outlet. Or, even, just cut the wires to one of the stock outlets, and grab power from an acc powered circuit and wire it up. Of course it is always a good idea to use a relay and fuse just in case, but I know the risks.

Discharging a lead-acid battery below 12V is actually not healthy for the battery. 12.3 or around there would be the lowest I'd be comfortable dropping mine.
