Hi Guys.

Since I bought my 95 Blazer (GMT330) the driver´s side power seat don´t work.
The last weeks I had time to search for failures.
The fuse is ok, the switch on the side of the seat is ok,
Today I measured the Volts on the plug under the seat.
The result was 11 Volts.
Then I measured the resistance of the electric motors.
The result here, between, 8 and 11 Ohms.

Now I have some questions.
Get the motors enough Volts?
Is the resistance to high?
Could it be, that the thread spindles of the seat assembly are jammed, because, they were not used, by a long time?

measure what you have on the good side and compare it too the bad...you even have the parts to temp replace to see if it fixes the problem....

 

Hi, which good side? Did you mean the distance between the spindles? I have only a power seat on the driver side and can not measure any other.

 

Ok sorry, took for granted you had power seats on both sides.....you have 1.375 amps & 1 amp going to those motors...seems a little low too me for the high torque little motors but not knowing what its supposed to be, I can't say...best thing too do I quess would be to take the motors out, inspect and bench test em.....I'm sure you'll find the fix...

Hi. I have the same problem as the OP'er, except I have no voltage at the plug to which the switches connect. You mentioned the fuse. Which fuse is it?

Also, is there a manual override of the power seats? That is, is there a way to move the seat manually when the power doesn't work?

No, there is no other way to move the seats.
It should be the upper Fuse A for Power Accessories with 20 Amps.

 

Ok Guys, mission accomplished.

About 2 weeks ago, I had water in my driver side´s footwell.
So I raised my carped an dried him.
During the procedure, I saw that the the connector of the power accessories circuit was rotten and the cables were broken.

So I repaired it with crimp connectors and now my seat works well.
