power window ad locks not working 87 Blazer

You have to have a solid 12 v and gnd into the switch. What you have with accy power off doesnt matter.
Here's something I found on how it works.
Ignore the top drawing.
the bottom shows the connections needed. It's a 'center off momentary rocker switch.
That is actually how the power window switch works.
No, the pass switches do not affect driver side, but the driver's pass window switch must be good for the pass side switch to work.

ok so an update on whats going on with the power windows.
Im about 90% sure my switch is ok. I hooked up a 9v and had level power from power to ground and power to all leads when the respective switch was activated.
Pretty sure that its a short in the wiring. from what i could see the wiring in the door was ok so im jst assuming the short is bfore the fuse (would that blow the fuse or no because the fuse is still good) anyway im not about to try and repair all that. instead i think i will just run a new power and ground straight from the battery (fused with an in-line of course)
so my next questions are.. how do i wire this new circuit to an accessory power to have it only activate while the car is on? if i dont tie this new circuit into an accessory power will it be a constant drain on the battery even if im not using the power windows?
if there is no easy way to tie it into accessory and it will drain the battery, i plan on adding a regular on/off kill switch. is that doable?

PW shouldn't be fused, it should have a circuit breaker.
There are places marked where the power for the windows plugs into the fuse box at the top...Should be grey connectors and marked WDO.
You could plug it into the part of the fuse box marked IGN. Which is also at the top of the fusebox.

i've heard bad things about circuit breakers unless you buy a really expensive one... and im not looking to spend a fortune

Come on guys.. look here:
1986-89 Chevrolet Blazer S-Series Alarm, Remote Starter, Keyless Entry Wiring Information
I suggest anyone reading this bookmark that site for basic electrical info.. it may not always be right.. because the section on radio install says yellow is accy while alarm section says orange is.
So check it out first.
What ever.. it gives you a place to start. DO use an inline fuse from there.. 15a should do it. I think a window motor goes real close to 10a when stalled {full up or down}

Thanks. I got it working. Ground wire was shorted out so I just ran a new one. No power bypass needed. Ill check that site out too thanks
