Default Signal Light Flasher

Has anybody had the problem of the signal Light Flasher always clicking even though the signal Light is not on. The only time it is not clicking is if I have my foot on the brake. When it is clicking I checked and the lights are not flashing just the flasher clicking away. It is driving me up the wall. Hope somebody can help. It is in a 2000 Blazer LT

Many people have had this issue (search for "clicking+glove+box"). It is a problem with the contacts inside the multifunction switch. You either try replacing just the hazard switch portion of the multifunction switch assembly (how-to in the Tech Article section). If that doesn't fix the problem, then the whole multifunction switch needs to be replaced.
