Default Turn Signal

I have a 2000 S10 and the left side turn signal indicator is flashing fast. I put one new bulb in the front and one new bulb in the back. It's still flashing fast. I'm new to this fixing stuff and thought this would be an easy fix. Wrong. Any ideas on what the problem is?

check and clean your ground wires for those lights - follow the wires, there should be one for each front light on the core support and one for each rear light it's sometimes in the pocket in the body the light housing fits into - might not fix the problem on a newer vehicle but it was a problem on the older ones and it a place to start looking

Thanks Odat, I'll do that the next day off from work.

I personally do not think it is your grounds. I believe the 2000's ground them in the BCM and not the core support (I swear I read that somewhere)

I would find and replace your turn signal relay. Cheap part, should be behind the access panel in the glove box.

I have the same thing happen occasionally when it is raining or just afterwards, then it stops. I think the rear bulb wiring is probably the culprit. One of my rear lenses was cracked when I got it.That was the first thing fixed ! Next was getting a lug wrench and jack after a flat on day three !
