My dad has a 2002 Saturn Vue with 163,000 miles on it. His car keeps stalling on him, it takes about 10-15 mins for the car start back up. I am suspecting a possible bad fuel pump but that is just a wild guess. He says when it it dead it will turn over and what not. It is totally a random die! He does not notice anything out of the ordinary before it goes. Any help would be greatly apprciated!

Does anyone have any ideas on this? The engine died again on him today. A week ago he took it into the shop he goes to and they scanned for codes and found none, they all did a fuel pressure test on both fuel filters (I guess he has two?) Now I am kind of leaning towards the ignition coils. I've tried search the web and I can't find anything on vues. I was wondering what you guys think.

Does the security light come one? I've seen it where the factory security will engage and kill power to the fuel pump for 15 minutes. Especially if there's an improperly installed remote starter or alarm.

Think I figured it out! It was the crank position sensor which makes sense of the stalling and not restarting right away. The senor was bad so it wasn't getting the right counter on the crank so it would kill power. Thanks for the help!

That would do it. Man is it fun trying to diagnose a vehicle with no codes, but obvious symptoms!..?
