Default 350 suspension question

I finally caved. I bought an import. It's an 83 taco. Did I mention it's got a carbed 350 in it? It's also got an older chevy suspension in it. My question is for you k5 guys with leafs in front and back. Is there any way to smooth out the ride? It's got a 6" lift and 35 Tsl mud boggers.

ive heard of some different leaf springs manufacturers have softer rides but not really. my k5 with a 6inch lift you could jump up and down on the front bumper and might get a inch of play. you can take out a few leafs up front but then your gonna loose height. so without changing your front end suspension to coilovers or a softer spring i cant really think of anything
