Default Bye Bye Blazer

With the cost of fuel constantly on the rise I just couldn't see hanging onto the Blazer anymore, so I put it up for sale and sold it a week ago with 131,000 miles on it for $4600 - $1600 more than I had into it. To replace it I bought an '03 Monte Carlo SS with the High Sport option. Yesterday I figured out the mpg and after driving it for a week got 26mpg with all stop and go city driving. After a tune up and a CAI I hope to get a little more out of it, but it's a big improvement over the Blazer.

Congrats on the sale of the blazer and the purchase of the new vehicle. I'm thinking about parking my blazer and getting another vehicle.

This is why I snapped up a little '91 jeep wrangler yj off my neighbor it's just a 2.5l 5 speed but it gets better mpg around town (22) than my precious blazer does on the highway, blazer is in the garage debating on what to do to her this time around while the fuel prices have her forcibly parked. Although I have been debating on selling the jeep for a profit and using the money to buy a bike for the summer (only paid $600 for the jeep and I KNOW the average sale price on them is MUCH higher than that)
