You know, living the dream.....Na, it's been a rough couple of years, but things are looking up. I'm finishing up my nursing school, so this time next year I'll be a nurse! Yeah, moving on up, making the money!! Getting older and wiser..moved on from playing in the blazer to riding my motorcycle.
How about you? What have you been up to? I should start a catch up with people post!

Living the dream. lol
Tough last couple of years here too. FInally found a job that may last or lead to one that will. Time will tell.
Moved on to a boat and fishing, just traded the S-Blazer in for a nused TrailBlazer. Went from 212,000 miles to 56,000 even though its a 2004.
Both the sons have completed college, married, and have bought houses. Youngest son married a RN. Awesome pay and great hours. Glad to hear your doing well, and planning the dream, and then living it.

Congratulations on getting your Nursing Degree. You will never be without a job. Are you going to work in hospital, doctors office, or working as a traveling nurse? I just got back from a vacation to Laughlin NV & I met & talked with a traveling nurse that works in Las Vegas. She told me she has been offered full time work in every hospital in Las Vegas but said she was not willing to take that big of pay cut from working contract. I have met & talked with other traveling nurses & that to me would be the ticket. I even know a traveling Doctor that bases out of Las Vegas I first met her in Mammoth Lakes CA.
You will have a world of opportunities in front of you.
My wife has a Masters in Special Education & a Masters as a Reading Specialist, she also never has to worry about a job. She is licensed in three States. Regular Ed teachers are being cut but they can't find enough SPED Teachers, just as with Nurses.

Wow! I hear you on the job thing. I lost mine 2 years ago, collected my 99 weeks now I work at a part time/ per diem filler job until I'm done with school. Then the hubby gets to retire for a bit. I'm doing it for him as he's had to carry us the last couple of years. With the pay I'm expecting, we'll be financially stable and he can have to opportunity to work someplace he likes, or whatever he wants to do. He deserves a break, poor guy! I'm glad things are looking up for you too! I think it's been kinda rough for everyone. I still have the mighty blaze....however, it's the third vehicle...I call her Crusty now!!! I am looking to replace it with a diesel station wagon...something about 40+ miles to the gallon makes me happy!

my girlfreind, who is also my wife understands that these old beat up hands are the most precious tools I own. I've made a lot of money over the past 30+ years with these ugly old paws. I have to make sure I clean them up real well before I go touching anything in the house: doors and doorknobs, lightswitches etc.

Q: what is the difference between Doctors and Mechanics?

A: mechanics wash their hands BEFORE they use the bathroom.
