finally got them installed, hids on a 1999 blazer, 10000k ,disabled drl by just leaving 2 pins on drl relay... it Worked!!!!!

Honestly, I'm unsure if the drls and auto lights share the same bulb or not.

But it sounds like you got it figures out anyhow. Glad the relay trick ended up working after all!

Daytime running lights are the hi beam bulbs operating at a reduced voltage. Auto headlights are the low beams controlled by the light sensor.
