If your new to riding please take a Motorcycle Safety Course, they will teach you how to ride. Even experienced riders can learn a lot from the advanced courses.

Pretty much. I want a Honda CBR 600.
995 is just a set of numbers I use on all my user names.

Planned on it, if the Army is willing to provide it for me Id be foolish not to take advantage.

I learned to ride on a Yami R1 and Since owning that I now have a GSX-R1000 and I wouldnt trade it for any other bike. But I took her to 180 and still had throttle but lacked the *****. So perhaps thats outta your realm.

yea it can be done, but would you really recommend it?

#1 always respect the bike, but there is NO reason to start on a litre bike.

One of you guys said take the course. Yeah its such a good idea to do so. I took the class way after I started riding but I had fun taking the class and learned a few things.

And I think it really shouldnt matter what size cc bike you learn on. No offense but you guys those sport bikes are 400 pounds and as long as you respect the power of the bike and take it slowly and dont get stupid it shouldn't matter.
