Default had to share me derp moment :)

So, I'm out of windshield washer fluid, which is making winter driving a heap of fun. Well I need to fill the fluid, so I go to open the hood. It won't open. I try again, won't open. I go around to the front and try to jiggle the hood a bit and bang in the center. Nothing. So I pull the handle while reaching up and pulling up on the bug guard and nothing. At this point I am getting really frustrated and throw snow onto my windshield, run the wipers, and leave work. Next day, try again. Pull the handle, nothing. Get frustrated automatically and frantically start pulling on the hood and grumbling. I go sit inside my blazer and look at the handle, pulling it and swearing, trying to see if maybe the cable snappped or something, then I look at the handle and I realize I have been pulling on the emergency brake release handle. I facepalm and burst out laughing at myself, pull the hood latch and guess what, my hood popped open LOL!! Just had to share my embarrassing derp moment with everyone :P

I've done the same thing. Most recently when going to fill up our 2008 Camry (the gf drives it most of the time) I tried to pop the gas door. Well the trunk release is right next to it and I went back and forth three times before realizing I was pulling the wrong one. Felt like an idiot and the gf just laughed at me the whole time.

that great lol reminds me of the second night i got my blazer...i spent a good 2 hrs or so cleaning the motor with a toothbrush and armorall...had it looking like it was brand new i was so proud so i went into town to show it to my buddy while he was working ...so i pulled up..popped open the hood got out and put the hood up..but it was really windy and i didnt want to hav the hood fall..so i just set it down (first mistake) and went inside for a bit and talked...then my buddy wanted a ride...got it up to just about 50 mph and i saw it catch the safty catch and i was like CRAP!! just then a big rig came by in the other lane and blew it open...folded that bad boy right up tight against the windsheild...scarest moment ive ever had in my life...but one of the funniest to lol i still have replaced the hood (saven for a cowl induction =P)

how about getting a check engine light, going to advanced auto, using their scanner and they give me their input on the possible cause of the code. "did you make sure your gas cap is on right?", And i say "oh of course". Yeah... i checked it and realized it wasn't even screwed on, i drove home in shame.
