Default New brake lathe turns the rotors on the vehicle.

Have any of you other techs used the all new PFM9.2 DRO from pro cut . They are sweet , I had to go in to work early to get trained on how to use it . I testes for run out , and then matches the rotor and the hub which its mounted. All while attached to the vehicle .

Yea sure does , kinda . I still had to take the rotors off and clean the mounting surfaces . And I thought we were just going to have to get a new rotor for the back , the old explorer just didn't want to give it up .

On the car brake lathes are pretty cool, some manufacturers have required them for years (Honda since the '90s)

The garage I worked at for years had an on the car lathe, it was sweet. Kind of cumbersome, and takes just as long to set up as it did to just pull the rotors off and toss on the benchtop lathe. But it was handy for the one tons and the vehicles that you would have to remove the berrings to remove the rotors. Pop off rotors like out blazers have its kind of pointless, also our rotors are so cheap we can just get new ones for 30 bucks each.
