Post your idiotic Driver Stories
maybe when i cool off enough about what happened with one i reported to the OPP on Christmas Eve, i'll tell ya all about it.
However, my personal favorite is the Prius driver. Mostly because Toyota doesn't really speed limit their vehicles, they will pass me on 70 going well over 100. My first reaction is "and it's taken you how many miles to get to that speed?" Then my next reaction is from an episode of Topgear that I saw: When you drive a Prius like that, it gets 17MPG. The worst fuel economy drop of the automotive industry. The Prius makes the Yugo look good.
I used to joke on 97 about them thinking that the road number was the speed limit, then I wondered what they did on the Capitol Beltway -- you know, 495

Regards,
Thomas
A lot of people speed on 70, though. I rarely ever see cops on that highway, except for that one speed trap between Rtes. 29 and 695.
Must be a GM thing. My old '91 Cavalier had that same clear coat. LOL
I don't know why I didn't post this before...
As some of you may have noticed I wasn't around on the forum after Christmas, I was up in Ottawa (Mainly the Orleans region if you're curious Logan).
On the way back home, there was someone driving a newer Ford Edge, she was in the far left on the 417 and slowly made her way across the solid white line until she kissed the snow bank. She over-corrected which then sent the vehicle across the highway. Then over correcting again, she got the back end loose and got COMPLETELY sideways, she was off the highway at this point too, in the snow on the edge of the shoulder.
I don't know how, but she managed to recover and keep going, we pulled up next to her (cautiously) and saw that she was indeed texting on her phone... guess she had to finish her message.

Wow, Thats ridiculous! I honk at people when I see them texting or on their phone at all. I don't agree with the law at all because, as stated before, its not the action of the hand by your head, its the fact your not concentrating on driving.
Yea so what you can text without looking at your phone. You are still using your eyes to visualize where your fingers need to go, and not really looking at the road.
